DENNIS KISS

Dennis Kiss is an indie artist from Hamburg whose songs drift between dark reflections, sleepless nights and fleeting ecstasy. With distorted guitars, driving rhythms and a touch of shoegaze melancholy, he captures the raw poetry of the city and turns it into his very own sound.

BIO

Dennis Kiss is an indie-rock artist from Hamburg whose music moves between distorted guitars, driving rhythms and moments of quiet melancholy. After his debut Norddeich Mole (2023), an indie coming-of-age record full of hope and nostalgia, he returns in October 2025 with his second album Vielleicht für ein paar Stunden, doch ich bin nicht diese Person on popup-records. Where the debut still carried the sea breeze of the North, the new record is deeply rooted in the pulse of Hamburg’s nights.

The songs tell of sleepless hours, excess, fleeting ecstasy and the inevitable crash the morning after. Kiss has sharpened his voice as both a writer and musician: darker, more direct, and with a sound that ranges from indie rock to post-punk and shoegaze. It is music that feels as raw and atmospheric as the city it was written in.

In recent years, Kiss has played shows all over the German-speaking world, including support slots for Betterov, Madsen and Sportfreunde Stiller. In Hamburg he has spent the past two years working closely with producer Hannes Wolf, shaping a more mature and uncompromising sound. Rooted in the legacy of the Hamburger Schule, yet unmistakably his own, Dennis Kiss is part of a new wave of artists carrying the city’s indie scene forward.
